Mindful Well Being

An 8-week course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

Dates: Wednesdays, April 5 - May 24 (8 weeks) OR Thursdays, April 6-May 25 

All day retreat: Sunday, May 14

Time: Wednesday evenings, 7:00-9:30 p.m. OR Thursday mornings 9:00-11:30 a.m.

Location: Sama Tal Center, 45 South Road, North Hampton, New Hampshire

Cost: $395 (financial assistance is available, please ask)

Description

The 8-week Mindful Well-Being Course is based on the world-renowned Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course that has been completed by more than 30,000 people world-wide. Participants in this course learn tools to foster mindfulness, reduce stress, enhance their resilience, and focus their attention in order to better engage with the challenges of everyday life. 

All levels of experience with mindfulness and meditation, including beginners, are welcome.

What to Expect
The Mindful Well Being Course will teach you to live your life with greater ease and inner strength.

During this 8-week course you will receive

  • Training in mindfulness meditation practices that have proven benefits
  • Tools for working with pain, stress and illness, as well as skills for coping with adversity, building resilience and reducing stress
  • Safety, support, and a sense of connection with others and to yourself as you navigate the varied experiences and challenges of daily life

The course includes:
Short talks, experiential exercises, meditation, group discussion, gentle stretching and mindful yoga, inquiry exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life, and home practices

Information sessions are currently scheduled for Wednesday March 8 and Wednesday March 29 @ 7 p.m. and Thursday March 9 and Thursday March 30 @ 9 a.m. Please let me know, using the form below, which session you plan to attend.

Weekly Mindfulness Meditation Group

Date: Every Wednesday (unless otherwise noted on the Sama Tal Center website)
Time: 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Location: Sama Tal Center, 45 South Road, North Hampton, NH
Description:  This weekly meeting is appropriate for individuals who are interested in developing a regular mindfulness meditation practice and would like the support of a weekly group. We will begin each week with 30-minutes of silent sitting (minimal guidance will be provided as appropriate). This will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.
