In our fast-paced world, we can easily overlook our personal well-being until a sudden illness or loss forces us to realize just how neglected it has been.  Mindfulness has emerged as a scientifically tested means of enhancing personal well-being. Be Well Mindfulness offers training in mindfulness practices for people who are interested in taking charge of their physical and mental wellness.

Trainings are based on the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program created in 1979 by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

MBSR is a scientifically proven method for learning to access and cultivate your innate ability to care for yourself and enhance your well-being.  Among other benefits, the practice of MBSR will improve your ability to

  • Cope with pain, stress, and the challenges of everyday life;
  • Deal with disturbing events with grace and composure;
  • Be fully present and alive in this moment.

Trainings are offered by Elana Peled, Ed.D. Among other things, Elana has worked as a college professor and a life coach and has been practicing mindfulness for more than 20 years.
